Joel Marc C. Rubio, MD, FACE
Clinical Services (Internal Medicine, Endocrinology)
Dr. Rubio grew up on Guam and is a Simon Sanchez alumnus. He graduated from medical school at the University of the East RamonMagsaysay Medical Center in the Philippines, and completed an internal medicine residency under the Cornell University Program at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York. His subspecialty training was at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He was formerly an Instructor at the Northport VA Hospital in New York, and was part of a 3-physician practice in upscale Danbury, Connecticut before coming back home to Guam via the Philippines.
Prior to returning to Guam, he was Chief of Endocrinology and Residency Training Program Coordinator for the De La Salle University College of Medicine in Dasmarinas, Cavite, Philippines. Dr. Rubio is boardcertified in both internal medicine and endocrinology by the Philippine College of Physicians and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.
If he hadn’t become a doctor, Dr. Rubio would have been a deejay.
